Men have come to speak of revelation as long ago given and done, as if God were dead. It is the office of a true teacher to show us that God is, not was, that he speaketh, not spake...

The need was never greater of new revelation than now.

I have tried to update my blog with pictures from my summer adventures so far but the internet at my current location takes about an hour per picture. I'm kinda bummed but I have people all over the place telling me to update, so will have to continue without pictures until I return to Rexburg in mid September.

To clear any and all confusion of the question "So, what is it exactly that you're doing this summer in L.A. again??"...(which has become as common and infamous as the "So...what exactly is it that you eat up there in Rexburg?" question) that I've been receiving from people all over my social spectrum...I am living in L.A. (El Segundo to be more specific) California with my friends Matt and Mike's family. Their mom and grandma own some apartment complexes and rent houses in their community. I am just here to pretty much do whatever they tell me. I clean property, paint, vacuum hallways, sweep, run errands, do minor landscaping details (as mom knows is my favorite thing in the world to do.....sarcasm intended), and other small things. I am pretty much a slave at my own will. And prior to contrary belief, I am NOT: building houses, fixing faucets, rearranging electrical circuits, plumbing, or tearing buildings down. I am merely here to do smaller things; but there are a lot of smaller things to be done.

Two weeks ago I flew to Nashville to visit my oldest brother Jamie and his wife, Anita, and my four nieces: Brook, Abby, Lori, and Gracie. I had such a blast. I actually have a ton of awesome pictures that I will put up later when I have better internet access. But man was I pooped while there! The semester had just ended so I slept it off while in Tennessee; I was asleep before 10 pm most nights there...which is a HUGE thing for me; that rarely RARELY happens. But being with 4 little girls all day can be happily exhausting! Anita is amazing!...how does she do it?? Anyway, we went to the temple, church, the pool, the zoo, an old civil war plantation, the park, the movies (Ice Age 3 in 3D), an old dairy factory (which Anita and I are still a little confused about, as its been shut down for years but they still do tours...I dunno...), and Red Robin (may my job there forever R.I.P.). I had a great time and even got to babysit while Jamie and Anita went to Harry Potter. My nieces are the sweetest little girls ever and I miss them tremendously! Hopefully I can head back there again soon!

Now I'm in L.A. just working a few hours a day and then going to the beach a lot. I already had my one signature sunburn to start the summer break on so now I'm putting the sunscreen on like crazy. Sister Briney even made me get a rash guard and a hat to protect me from the sun. The Briney's are all brown people (seriously, they can be in the sun five minutes and come back in looking like Oprah) so it's kinda funny having this blonde, light eyed, white kid living with them (it does cause for some stares...quite funny...). Anywho, I love it here in home sweet home California! Now...onto celebrity stalking...
