Men have come to speak of revelation as long ago given and done, as if God were dead. It is the office of a true teacher to show us that God is, not was, that he speaketh, not spake...

The need was never greater of new revelation than now.

wild thing.

Last night I went to see Where The Wild Things Are. I've been waiting for a long time to see it. I really liked it. But it's not for everyone. I picture it more like a piece of art rather than an actual movie. I remember reading the book as a kid and the images of the monsters forever being lodged into the back of my mind. The movie was a little slower and it kind of feels like it doesn't fit in with any category of person. Kids will think it's boring (especially in this age of fast paced action stuff and tinkerbell/barbie princess movies.) And some grownups will be turned off by its thin plot and anti-climatic purpose. I thought it was JUST RIGHT. Loved it.

The visuals are incredible. It's a beautiful looking movie and they did amazing with the monsters. I've read that they combined puppetry with CGI effects to create them. It was flawless. The acting was great by the little boy. I had heard rumors that he was a super annoying kid actor (like Miley Cyrus), but I thought he did awesome.

And the music rocks!!

Lol, thanks for posting Craig. It makes sense that the plot would be thin. I mean, the book is like 9 sentences long! Oh, and I love how you had to throw in a stab at Miley in there, haha.

Isn't that the best part about a children's book though? The illustrations? So it would make sense that the plot sucks but it is visually awesome.

I heard it was depressing and not a good kid's movie.. which makes me sad. That was one of my most favorite books ever growing up.. I had a Wild Thing shirt in high school.

Can't wait to see it.

Nice job on Splash Mountain!
