Men have come to speak of revelation as long ago given and done, as if God were dead. It is the office of a true teacher to show us that God is, not was, that he speaketh, not spake...

The need was never greater of new revelation than now.

one week. two apostles.

Such a great past week. We had not only one, but two Apostles come to visit us here at BYU-Idaho:

Elder Russell M. Nelson (came on Tuesday)

and Elder M. Russell Ballard (came on Saturday).

It was legen-wait-for-it-dary!

Elder Russell first spoke about the relief efforts of the church in Haiti. He said that our church buildings there (the ones that were still standing anyway) were housing up to 5,000 people and that unfortunately they had to start turning people away because the building couldn't fit everyone. But what was amazing was that on Sunday everyone within the buildings moved out to the church grounds to let sunday worship for the LDS members there go on as normal. A lot of people stayed in the buildings though to show gratitude for God and the building.

Elder Ballard spoke about morality in this crazy world and that if we do what's right then nothing else matters. He talked a bit on Prop 8 and how interesting it is that only the Mormons are being attacked and blamed. He said to not worry about it and just to love and respect those attacking us.

It was a good week.

Wonderful Son. Isn't it just simply humbling to have such great servants of the Lord come and share their insights and revelations with you. What a great place to be and to have been for the past several years. Truly you have been spiritually as well as educationally fed.
