Men have come to speak of revelation as long ago given and done, as if God were dead. It is the office of a true teacher to show us that God is, not was, that he speaketh, not spake...

The need was never greater of new revelation than now.

-Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1838

family reunion: boardwalk trip.

It's family reunion time and one day we spent it at

It was overcast the entire day and two of my niece's couldn't come because they got sick. But it was a fun day full of crazy rides, crazy kids, and crazy treats.

Lori.

Macy getting swabbed with sunscreen.

Our first stop was the Log Ride which was a huge hit with the kids.

My bro-in-law Josh with my nieces Macy and Parker.

Abby super excited going up to the top of the Log Ride.

Beware.

The view from the top.

Two of the funniest pictures I have ever seen. The faces of my nieces are priceless and hilarious.

Donovan in his new Boardwalk hat.

The grownups (aka me, robin, scott, and kiana) took a 4 minute break and went on the giant dipper (the oldest roller-coaster in California and the fifth oldest in the United States) . Its been years since any of us had been on it but just as much fun as remembered.

My sister and I got the last seat in the coaster, of course. A true sign of ride-a-holics.

Fast turn.

On the Boardwalk Cave Adventure.

Macy on the Merry-Go-Round.

Oliver happy as can be with his ice cream cone.

My nieces and nephew who were there.
Abby, Parker, Lori, Macy, and Oliver.

It was a fun day!
