We finally got our Christmas tree!
I was excited, as Mom and Dad have been teasing (I think) that it may not happen this year, being that none of my brothers or sister are able to make it here. But the Grinchness eventually faded and Christmas has finally taken over the house!
Christmas out of storage (also topped by the Christmas moose).
Getting the tree home and decorated can pretty much be broken into three different categories:
(Finding, Lights, and Ornaments),
on three different days: (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday),
by three different people: (Dad, Mom, and Me).
Monday.
Finding.
Dad:
Getting the trunk of the tree trimmed so it will be able to fit in our tree stander.
Getting it into the car.
Ta-Da!! The tree is at home and standing on its own. Dad's task was now complete.
Tuesday.
Lights.
Mom:
Mom did her duty and put the lights up. The job that in our family can truthfully be said "Mom does it best, so why try?"
What else falls in this category?: Pancakes, driving, and interior decorating.
Wednesday.
Ornaments.
Me:
Mom called and said she'd be gone longer so to go ahead and get the tree decorated. Which I did. I haven't decorated a tree in so long because I've been in Idaho when she would do the tree.
But I think I did pretty good!
Merry Christmas!
