adventure is out there.

I'm not quite sure what it is but the house from the movie "Up" has stuck with people.

So much so that some contractor in Herriman, Utah decided to build an exact replica of it in a still-being-built suburban area.

And you'll remember the mini-model I made for Mike & Annie's wedding bulletin board of the house.

So of course being the movie/Disney fan that I am, and staying with my friends Mike & Annie of whom love the movie as well (Mike's Disney character being Russell from the movie and all...), I had to go see it.

Apparently the builders had to get complete permission from Disney (of course) to build it. Once it sells in the next few months (starting at $400,000, then Disney will have the paperwork for it and it'll pretty much be owned by them (or however that all works). But normal people will be living in it whoever buys it. We couldn't go in but we learned the interior is exactly like the movie, except they had to create some rooms that weren't in the movie and go off imagination.

It was fun to go see it and imagine being rich and owning it...

along with the rest of Utah.
